Possums Room
4 - 5 year olds (pre-schoolers)
In this room there is a focus on school readiness skills (pre-reading, pre-number, pre-writing) and language skills (listening, questioning, interpreting, inferring, and concentration). Social skills (sharing, courtesy, group participation) and personal skills (self-esteem, confidence, perseverance, independence, self-help skills) are also actively promoted. We also follow the Jolly Phonics Program, introducing a single phonic every week which works in conjunction with our weekly news and pre reading program.

Clara Certificate III Educator
I like researching and following up on children’s interests, curiosities and their endless amazing questions. They make me a more knowledgeable and well informed person - we share information and grow and learn together.

MADI MACPHAIL DIPLOMA EDUCATOR
I love taking the time to find out what makes each child unique and listening to them talk about their interests and family. The environment is my passion and I love engaging the children through country and our environment. My favourite time of day is first thing in the morning, welcoming all the happy faces and knowing we are all going to have a wonderful day.

LILY Early Childhood Teacher
I love playing with the children and having the excuse to be a big kid with them! Making a mess with sensory play has to be our favourite as well as watching them create with paints and seeing their creative talents emerge.

Sarah Early Childhood Teacher
I love knowing that each day I help to make a difference in these little people’s lives, playing an active role in developing the social, emotional and physical skills that they will take with them through life. I love supporting them to grow and witnessing them achieve something for the first time, so rewarding
