I love taking a break from admin and spending time with the children for some perspective  ... sitting with them during lunch, catching up with them and hearing about their day is my favourite part of mine and is, I realise often, the only time I really do anything of genuine importance.

There's nothing quite as fulfilling to me as being the 'safe place' on which a child can rely. I know I'm doing my job well when a child comes to me for reassurance and guidance before securely returning to play. I also love setting up creative play spaces and watching the children engage with and love their activities. I see my job as a facilitator of learning whilst assisting in the development of empathy and consideration for others.
